We are told in Matthew 7:12-14 to, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” I think that sometimes in our pursuit to love others we make the mistake of trying to broaden the path to be more accepting and perhaps to include or embrace or encompass more but true love would say, “Hey my friend here is the narrow path, you don’t want to stray off because that broad path that may be enticing you will only lead to destruction”. Sometimes compromise can be the very tool the enemy uses to open the door to deception that leads to destruction. Let’s love one another by encouraging each other to keep our feet on the path that Jesus designed for us so that we are enabled to walk in His fullness and love not the deceptive love of this world that encourages us to do what ever feels good or looks good.
True love does not try to broaden the path but lets you know when you are straying off the chosen path.
Trying to broaden what God calls narrow will only lead to deception.
We create worlds with our thoughts and imagination.
Are your thoughts creating the world you want to live in or
are you creating the world you fear?
Let’s stop looking for our identity in what we do. Instead, let’s identify with what Jesus says about us….He only has good things to say about you and your unlimited potential!
Ignorance can be bliss, like when you don’t know how many calories are in those amazing chocolate chip cookies you ate before bed last night. Unfortunately, not knowing doesn’t change the effect they have on your hips. We are warned in Hosea 4:6 that God’s people are destroyed due to a lack of knowledge. So, although we may ignore the calorie labels on our food, let’s determine to pursue a deeper knowledge of God’s Word in order to reap all the benefits we are offered as daughters of the King and avoid any destruction that the enemy has planned for us due to any lack of knowledge on our part.
When you feel the desire to withdraw, get to a phone and make plans. Hibernation is the folly of walking in the light.
So, how else do we show our faith, than to keep asking!
We are told that all the laws of the bible can be summed up in these two things: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. So how do we do this? Well, I believe, it is impossible without a heart connection with God as your Heavenly Father. I am praying that as you read this, you will determine to lay your heart open before a Heavenly Father that loves you and allow Him to heal your hurts, disappointments and brokenness so that you can begin to fully love and be loved. Just be willing!
Sometimes before we can be free, we first have to let God out of the box we put Him in.
When we limit God, we limit ourselves; when we limit ourselves, we limit God. So let’s remove all limits – NO LIMITATIONS!
